According to CoinMeta, Xie Feng, the Chinese ambassador to the United States, stated in his speech at the 2026 China Operations Conference Exchange Dinner of the US-China Trade National Committee that it is necessary to uphold mutual respect and strengthen the foundation of trust in Sino-US economic and trade cooperation. He pointed out that given the differences in history, culture, social systems, and development paths between China and the United States, there is an even greater need for respect. We should view these differences with a rational attitude and handle disagreements in a pragmatic manner. Since last year, Sino-US economic and trade teams have held eight rounds of consultations, during which "mutual respect" has been repeatedly mentioned in the consensus reached by both sides. In September this year, a new round of consultations yielded ten positive outcomes, including the establishment and advancement of mechanisms such as a Trade Council, the agreement on reciprocal tax reductions amounting to $30 billion, and the extension of the Kuala Lumpur economic and trade consultation results. These achievements were negotiated through mutual respect and equal dialogue, responding to the market needs and industrial concerns of both parties, and creating a more stable and predictable environment for business operations. Practice has proven that only by enhancing understanding, building mutual trust, and forming consensus through mutual respect can we open up broader prospects for Sino-US economic and trade cooperation.
