According to CoinMeta, as investors focus on the mid-term elections in the United States, Asian currencies have generally strengthened against the US dollar. Currently, it appears that the Democratic Party is on the verge of gaining control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate. Analysts at Bank of Malaysia believe that if the Democratic Party successfully reverses the situation in the House of Representatives or takes control of both houses, the development of the artificial intelligence industry may face stricter scrutiny, which could suppress the performance of AI and weaken the US dollar. Analysts also noted that a decline in US Treasury yields in the short term could reduce the attractiveness of the US dollar as a financing or investment destination for carry trades, thereby putting pressure on the dollar. The US dollar fell 0.7% against the Japanese yen to 157.61, and it fell 0.5% against the South Korean won to 1338.20. During Asian trading hours, US Treasury yields declined, and this trend may reflect investors shifting to safer assets as stock markets fell.
