Recall number S2026M0121V: Starting from today, some imported Lotus Elise220 automobiles produced between June 10, 2014, and December 13, 2015, totaling 33 units, will be recalled. In some of the vehicles within this recall scope, due to imperfect resin molding conditions during the manufacturing process of the low-pressure fuel pump impeller, the resin density of the impeller is insufficient. The impeller may swell and deform under the influence of fuel, interfering with the low-pressure fuel pump casing, which can lead to poor performance of the low-pressure fuel pump. In extreme cases, it is possible for the engine to stall while the vehicle is in motion, posing a safety hazard. Wuhan Lotus Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. will replace the low-pressure fuel pumps with improved versions for the vehicles within the recall scope free of charge to eliminate this safety risk.
