According to CoinMeta, Nokia released the "Global Network Traffic Report," which predicts that by 2035, artificial intelligence will drive nearly half of the global network traffic. At the same time, the total monthly global traffic is expected to increase by nearly four times, reaching approximately 3789 exabytes. The report also forecasts that proxy traffic is expected to reach 160 times its 2026 level by 2035, while physical traffic is expected to reach 105 times its 2026 level during the same period. In addition, as connections and usage increase, fixed wireless access will generate more than one-third of consumer cellular network traffic by 2035, thereby expanding the role of cellular networks in home broadband and mobile services.
