David Kelly, the global chief strategist at JPMorgan Asset Management, believes that a scenario where the Republicans hold the White House and the Democrats control Congress could help ease economic growth and inflation pressures, reducing market uncertainty. At the same time, data center construction faces the risk of tighter regulation, with 40 out of 41 related local referendums being unfavorable to data center development. Analysts argue that higher regulatory barriers may actually strengthen the competitive advantages of large cloud service providers. Large cloud service providers such as Amazon, Microsoft, and Google have substantial financial strength and mature data center construction and operation capabilities. In contrast, the stock price of a new emerging cloud service provider (AI) (Coreweave) fell by about 10% on Wednesday. Macquarie analysts pointed out that companies with sufficient funds, secured power supply, and the capability to carry out project construction have a greater advantage, and the demand for AI infrastructure investment has not disappeared as a result.
