According to CoinMeta, OpenAI has launched a new generation of image generation model, Images 2.6, and added native GIF animation generation functionality to ChatGPT. Users can directly generate dynamic GIF images by entering text descriptions or uploading photos, and they can adjust the playback speed, edit individual frames, and share their creations within ChatGPT. This update means that users no longer need to master animation production skills; they can complete the generation and editing of GIF simply through natural language interaction. In addition, Images 2.6 has also improved the image generation speed of ChatGPT. For developers, OpenAI has simultaneously introduced two models, gpt-image-2.6 and gpt-image-2.6 sunburst, which focus on faster generation speeds and higher image quality respectively, to meet the needs of different application scenarios.
