2026-11-05 08:27:23
According to CoinMeta, the "2026 Adaptation Gap Report" released by the United Nations Environment Programme on Wednesday indicates that global warming is expected to exceed the 1.5°C target, developing countries still face a severe shortage of funds to address climate change, progress in adaptation actions is slow, and climate-related losses and damages continue to increase. The report estimates that by 2035, developing countries will need about $305 billion in annual adaptation funds. Even if the international public adaptation funding is tripled, it would only be able to meet about 20 to 30 percent of the demand.
