Nintendo's profits decline due to rising memory costs

According to CoinMeta, Nintendo announced a decline in quarterly profits as of September, mainly due to a insufficient number of major new game releases and rising costs of certain components. In Nintendo's second fiscal quarter, operating profit fell by 16% to 73.9 billion yen (approximately $468 million), below analysts' average forecast of 88.1 billion yen, and quarterly revenue also decreased by 15%, with the decline exceeding expectations. Over the six months ending in September, sales of Nintendo's gaming consoles fell by 37% to 6.49 million units. This performance has exacerbated investors' concerns that the growth momentum may have begun to weaken in the second year since the console's launch. The boom in artificial intelligence has pushed up component costs, prompting Nintendo to raise the price of its hardware, while consumers remain cautious about purchasing new games. Additionally, Nintendo is about to face a challenging holiday sales season at the end of the year. "Grand Theft Auto vi" will be released on November 19th and is expected to attract the attention of entertainment consumers around the world.
