According to CoinMeta, Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Toshihiro announced on Friday the introduction of emergency cybersecurity measures aimed at promoting a more proactive stance by the government in responding to cyberattacks. The government has allocated approximately 10 billion yen (about 63.2 million US dollars) for these measures, which include using artificial intelligence to enhance basic protective measures and the ability to respond to cyberattacks, as well as strengthening the capability for investigating and analyzing cyberattacks and providing support to victims. Toshihiro stated that unauthorized access and data leakage incidents continue to occur, which may have a significant impact on people's lives and the business community. Recent cyberattacks, along with the discovery of security vulnerabilities in the PHP programming language used by some websites, have made it an urgent task for Japanese businesses and the government to quickly address cybersecurity threats.
