According to CoinMeta, Payward, the parent company of Kraken, has confirmed that its affiliated investment funds and clients have acquired AAVE tokens, formalizing the investment relationship. This acquisition follows negotiations regarding a valuation of $385 million and a 15% stake. As announced by Payward on November 5th, Digital Assets Special Investment I, LP, and participating clients purchased an undisclosed number of AAVE tokens through secondary market transactions. Although the exact number of tokens and the total purchase value have not been disclosed, Payward and AAVE are exploring future cooperation. The founder of AAVE, Stani Kulechov, has publicly questioned this valuation, believing that the reported terms significantly underestimate AAVE. AAVE currently has approximately $33 billion in net deposits and $11 billion in active loans on the blockchain lending platform, and continues to expand into tokenized financial assets.
