Ukraine is currently facing a difficult winter, with weaknesses in its air defense system, and its energy and water supply infrastructure has also been damaged. The exact timing of the visit has not yet been determined. British officials believe that this state visit is unlikely to be scheduled during Zelenskyy's attendance at the G20 summit in Manchester; however, it is anticipated that Zelenskyy will be invited to participate in the G20 summit scheduled for next November. A British official stated, "A state visit should not be dependent on the schedule of a summit, as that would undermine the purpose of the visit."
