According to CoinMeta, and as reported by CNN, an illegal immigrant carrying firearms and ammunition was arrested near the White House by Secret Service agents. The suspect claimed to have come with the intent to assassinate President Trump. On the 5th, Secret Service agents noticed the man's suspicious behavior and approached him for questioning. The man stated that there was a voice in his head telling him to come to Washington to assassinate President Trump and admitted to carrying firearms. The Secret Service found a rifle, two pistols, and dozens of bullets in his car, and also discovered that the vehicle he was driving was stolen. The Department of Homeland Security stated that the man is from Venezuela and entered the United States illegally in 2024. He was arrested on suspicion of several weapons-related charges. The Secret Service pointed out that the White House has increasingly become a target for individuals with mental health issues.
